FRESHMEN/SOPHOMORES/JUNIORS: Kansas State University Engineering will be hosting their annual Engineering Day on Friday, April 5, 2019. This is for any juniors, sophomores, or freshmen who want to explore the field of engineering. Students will learn what to be doing now to prepare for an engineering degree in college, experience interactive presentations relating to math and science, find out how to be most successful in an engineering program, tour facilities, and get an up-close look at the design teams and student organizations at K-State. JUNIORS: Fort Hays State University will be hosting their annual Tiger Mania on Monday, April 1, 2019. This is an opportunity for students to learn about the admissions process, take a tour, and visit with different majors offered on campus. JUNIORS: Kansas State University is excited to host “Just for Juniors”, a program that focused towards high school juniors and their parents. This event will be hosted on March 26, 2019 at the Marriott Hotel in Overland Park, Kansas City. JUNIORS: Youth Civic Leadership Institute is an exciting leadership opportunity that is provided at no cost to the students and will focus on civic engagement and educating students for participation in democracy. It will be held at the University of Kansas on July 10-12, 2019. Students that are interested need to see Mrs. Sheldon by April 5, 2019 for an application.

This program is for sophomores and their parents to get more information on K-State, financial aid, scholarships, and much more. Registration information will be provided when it is received.

This is a chance for students to learn more about the college admission process and scholarship opportunities, develop critical thinking skills, engage with Hispanic leaders and role models, explore career opportunities, cultivate a support network with students, faculty, and staff, and compete for a variety of scholarships. If interested, students must apply online at fhsu.edu/hci by May 1, 2019.
JUNIOR Student Athletes: The Triple-Impact Competitor Scholarship is available to junior student-athletes who make a positive contribution on three levels: Makes oneself better (Personal); Makes teammates better (Leadership); and Makes the sport better (Honoring the Game). JUNIORS: The office of Senator Pat Roberts is now accepting applications for admission to the US Service Academies for entry July 2020. Any junior interested in applying for the US Air Force Academy, the US Naval Academy, the US Military Academy, or the US Merchant Marine Academy needs to see Mrs. Sheldon ASAP for a copy of the details and application. The deadline to apply is October 1, 2019.
